Tuesday night our Sheridan Blackhawk’s joined a the Indiana Bulls and Indiana Nitro Baseball programs to team up and support Sheridan’s Logan Gellert. Logan is battling Stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare childhood cancer.
Indiana Bulls Director Scott French said, “We’re excited to join with Indiana Nitro to not only compete but to come together for a cause greater than wins or championships.”
All players wore gold #Logan Strong jerseys, representing childhood cancer awareness and ribbons.
Bullpen Tournaments donated the fields, and BSN Sports donated the uniforms.
As we began our campaign to help Logan and his family, we were all quickly reminded that there is more to life than baseball Indiana Nitro Director of Operations Chris Poland said. We reached out to the baseball world and the response has been humbling. ”
Logan threw out the first pitch last night to Indiana Bull’s alum – 8 time golden-glove winner Scott Rolen.
Proceeds in excess of $ 12,000 were donated to the Gellert family.
Thank you Bullpen, Indiana Nitro, Indiana Bulls, Grand Park, and all involved in this event!
